Might be better putting the amp BETWEEN the UHF aerial and the diplexer

Assuming of course the diplexer has "dc passthrough" to allow the power unit to feed the amp

It's unlikely that will work. Depends on the amp.

The amp has probably either UHF and VHF inputs or has UHF only input.
If it has both UHF and VHF, then your fine - put the 2 aerials in straight to amp (no need for diplexer), and straight down to power unit.

If it's UHF only, it's more tricky. What you must do is put the red cap aerial into the amp. Then a short lead out of amp, into the UHF input in diplexer. Plug the rte aerial into the VHF input of diplexer. The output of the diplexer goes down to power unit.
Just one possible problem - the diplexer may not allow the power to pass through to the amp without modification!

Try it as described first, and see if it works.
    Post your results....

I have a televes unit that amplifies both UHF and VHF and diplexes also for me, its variable amplification, you can also get ones with VHF passthrough and saves u having a diplexer.
