Apart from being limited to 50 players this is better value than the satellites that PokerEvents themselves run!!!
And the 15 minute blind levels too of course. But less reg per prize money though.

Yes i know the 15 min blind levels is not great, but with the game been held in a pub (function room) i had no other choice but to make it 15min blind levels and limit it to 50 players.

I've had alot of interest in this game, 22 have already paid in. So my advice for you it you want to play is to get there early.

I'll be leaving to set up in about 15mins. So if any of you have any questions it will be best to contact me on my mobil 087 6448132 and best of luck if you play.

    Thanks
    Jp

Bit too rich for my bankroll, but the normal games I've played there before have been good.

Unfortunately this is waaaaay outside of my non-car-ified travelling distance of 20 min walk (conveniently the time it take to walk to the Fitz).

Good luck with it though, cause it's always good to see people organising sats to big events.

If 50 people buy in and topup thats €125x50 = €6250. What happens the rest of the money?

Never mind that, It's the 15 + 10 reg fees for each of these top ups and rebuys that gets me. 25x50=1250 to the organizer and it is a self delt tourney? These factors are why I only play in the fitz.

    why?

This event is 60+15 and 60+10.

Gresham and Red Cow are 50+15 and 50+10.

For 25 reg 120 goes into the pot for the tourney listed here, for 25 reg 100 goes into it in the Gresham and Red Cow. Is this not correct? It was the times I played in the Gresham. These figures assume rebuy or topup though.

O.k I think your missing something here. Pokerevents 25 reg fee. JJP 25 reg.
Pokerevents 20mins blinds with professional dealers at every table with internationally reconized director.
JJP as good and all as they are simply cant compete with this.
Your comment is not valid as you not comparing like with like.

I didn't say it was as professional, I only said that more money went into the prize pool with the same amount of reg being paid.

Dealers at each table is the difference, so from my point of view I would prefer to attend a PE run event, but as a side note I have always thought that the reg in these rebuy events is too high.

I'm afraid you say a little more than that.

Just a quick note on the reg, we only got 35 players fot this last night and so i changed the reg to €10 instead of the orginal €15 which i posted as i wanted to insure we reached enought for a ticket and some cash prizes.

As it turned out there was a total prize pool of €3965 with Joe Meade winning the ticket who already won a ticket at the leinster cup in city west earlier this year.

With that said it looks like we will be running another IPT Satellite, no date as of yet but i was thinking Sunday the 28th May in the Kestrel, Walkinson.

If so it will be a €65 & €10 Buy in with one rebuy or top-up at the same price. With it been an earlier start it will more than like be a 20 min blind game.

To me, value is how much you get for your dough. % wise more money goes into the pot here from a total paid.

I am aware that you will have a higher cost base than JJP Poker Mania or other similiar operators through the use of dealers and so on. Having to pay more reg (proportionally) due to having a higher cost base is still a decrease in value.

Personally I would rather lose a bit of value to have a dealer but that is a seperate point. This is the same reason that I prefer brand names generally to Yellow Pack or the likes as the quality is generally better for essentially the same product. Anyways, this is probably not the place for this discussion. I probably should not have mentioned it here in the first place. I am not saying that PE overcharge customers by the way.

I popped in late last night as I couldn't make the tournament itself. It was down to the final table by the time I got there, And the stack sizes and blinds seemed grand No body seemed to be complaining. And anyone I spoke to had nothing but praise for the tournament. Will make an effort for the next one if it happens in the kestrel.

Won a side STT for my efforts, got really pissed off with a drunk player and agreed with the third guy that was there that we'd split whatever we won. Silly me << Donkey
