Save the fish!

This is not for the Trinity Hall thread. This is about fish. Save the fish!

    Update on the fish pond

This matter continues to be one of grave concern for all upstanding residents in Hall. The fish are living in a state of constant fear. They know not the hour of the day when one of their members will be snatched from their midst. Such a level of stress, you will appreciate, is most upsetting as they attempt to prepare for the end of year examinations the results of which will determine which school they can swim with next year.

There is reason to believe that some anti-fish residents of Hall (and house 85 in particular) are aiding and abetting the heron and other winged creatures in these dastardly acts. It has even been suggested by one of the RSAs that even the squirrels are being trained to attack the fish.

24 hour surveillance of the area is being strictly enforced and if any resident is found to be part of the fish stealing gang then the severest sanctions will be imposed up to and including being required to do two hours study each day.

Brendan Tangney finally goes over the edge..

wow! that is a crazy post for a Warden. still he is a Fellow now and thus part-owner of the college. he can afford to develop a few foibles.

This is a long-running funny story in Halls. I didn't believe it at first, when I read the notice on the door of my house.

Please explain. I'd noticed that there are fish constantly disappearing from the pond by the launderette, but I didn't know it was being done deliberately.

Also, that fake heron is creepy.

No-one knows whether this is a joke or what. The fake heron scared me the first time I saw it: I wasn't expecting it and I suddenly looked up to see this big statue of a heron. It's really quite strange.

Does anyone have the inside track on this story?

The notices on our doors din't look like the Warden's work either.

Yeah, know what ye mean - I totally thought the signs on the door were the work of (a very amusing) procrastinating student.. but that message on the website is just about as crazy as the signs..
    I do wonder.
Maybe we should poke our assistant wardens and see who's been putting WHAT into the warden's evening tea?

Was that your first time giving Joe a ban? How was it for you? It'll get better with practice.
