Is it advisable to re-pot an in-flower peace lily plant into a larger pot at the moment?

My understanding is that it's best not to re-pot plants when they're in flower but I'm open to correction...

No, dont re-pot while its in flower, aside from the usual problems it also encourages the plant to put its energies into the roots, so all its energy goes into trying desperately trying to flower AND produce new roots, you end up with a wrecked plant 8 times out of 10.

can the compost from the recycling centre be used on its own for potted plants.

So, as soon as the flowers die will it be alright to re-pot it then?
