Hospital twinning

Desultory question - they twin towns; is there such a thing as hospital twinning? We've all experienced the difference in efficiency in Swedish or French hospitals and Irish ones.

Are Irish hospitals twinned with ones in countries where the system actually works (Denmark, where the population is the same as our own? Sweden? France? Germany?) so people can see why they work and how things are done?

Probably Irish hospitals would have something to share with them, too, in terms of humanising the care.

If you were the Chief Administrator of an efficient hospital in France or Sweden would you want to be associated in any way with the Irish health system?
