I managed to install the Bare Knuckle cold sweat humbucker in my Eggle last night and was just blown away by the difference. Especially when, to my surprise, the stock pickups are SD 59 NJ's (don't know what the NJ is but it's on the sticker)

I always felt the Eggle was a bit weak and thin. Not now though! I have a booming full crisp clear sound. ;) and that was through the Cube30. I have a date with my LC30 tonight! :D

Was it hard to do in the end? I want to get some new pickups for my strat. Getting a lot of feedback/sqeal on the hi gain distortion on my amp when its turned up. I know single coils are gonna feedback more than humbuckers but there must be some good single coils out there for higher gain playing that dont feedback as much at high volumes. Anyone got any recommendations? What are those lace sensors like? Clueless when it comes to pickups :)

A vital component are good pickups...

GS. It was easy to do in the end when you have someone who can solder! Deciding on the wiring was sorted by way of the BareKnuckle website. I decided against the 335 though and went for the easier Eggle! Well worth it!

Great choice with the Bare Knuckles. Was looking at putting a set of them in my old guitar

I'm gonna upgrade the pickups in my strat. Gonna be either DiMarzios or Bare Knuckles anyway. Did you order them direct? How long for delivery?

I did not order it direct as I did the Ebay thing! Basically I am just messing about so I didn't want to pay full price or anything. I only got a neck pickup so I still have to get a new bridge pickup.

Cool. How much did you save compared to buying it direct from them? I wouldnt imagine they dont come up to often

i put a bare knuckle trilogy set it my strat,oh lordy!!
can't rate them highly enough, esp with gain and they are true single coils

I'll check them out punchdrunk. I want something more high gain than my stock pickups but dont want to lose that wonderful single coil strat tone. Was looking at the Mothers Milk set but I'll have a look at those trilogy pups now

ah these things are just great in general, don't let the ingwie thing fool ya!these sound amazing clean...punchy but articulate

they can certainly do the chili peppers thing

make sure they put the brass plate on the bridge pickup,it boosts the low end and output and it sounds huge,oh and get the middle pup reverse wound reverse polarity so it's humbucking in the in between positions
