    Taken from Aertel!!

Soccer legend Pelé will appear as Pat
Kenny's special guest on this Friday's
    Late Late Show.

Pelé - whose autobiography has just
been published - holds the world record
for hat tricks (92), as well as the
record for the number of goals scored
    at international level (97).

In 1993, Pelé was inducted into the
National Soccer Hall of Fame in Brazil.
He has done extensive work for
    children's causes through UNICEF,
and came second to Muhammad Ali for
the 'Sportsman of the Century' award.

Pele will be signing his new book at
    Easons O'Connell St this Saturday.

Normally what happens for these signings is you buy the book just before you get in the Q. They wont throw you out of the Q if you have already got it and then its basically you get as early as you like with first come first served. I still aint sure what time ill be heading in for but id say you would wanna get there early

Would you get it signed if you got there at around 10.45?

    What would be the latest?

I was queuing from 9 and was just at the entrance at about 20 past 1 (two people away from it!) when they pulled the shutters down and said no one else would be let in. Apparently he left at quarter to 2 anyway and didn't even sign for everyone who was inside at that point. He was an hour late down at half 12. Ah well.

i was queuing from 8.15, and got inside easons at 9.15.
got our books straight away, also some coffee and sweets and bikkies, laid on by easons, and were organised in a queue inside.
Then we got tickets. They said he would sign for 2hours from 11.30 to 1.30, seeing approx 300 people. Sorted.
Samba dancers arrived about 10.30ish and got the place going, especially inside.
There was plenty of banter amongst those of us queuing, young and old alike.
The press gathered at the signing table at 11.15, so the rest of us followed suit, but no sign of him until 12.15.
He arrived in the middle of the samba dancers, clearly loving every minute of it.
Posed for the press, then got down to business, and the queue got moving. We eventually got to him about 1.15. The organisers were very pushy, telling people to hurry along, no photos, no dedications, etc, which was understandable, gven that they wanted to cram in as many people to see him.
We, like most, were having none of it, so we all got photos shaking hands with the king himself, smiles beaming from ear to ear. I even got a laugh out of him when i tried my hand at some portuguese i had been rehearsing earlier(thanks to easons phrase books).
I managed to get two books and a 1970 brazil shirt signed by him, so i was well impressed, he was humble and very friendly too, a true legend.

Shrink them with Photoshop or something. Or you could email them to me and I could do it.

here got some program off the net to do it for me, quality seems ok,

the photos show the ridiculous crowd in such a small shop. Then the close one after an hour of queuing.
