    5/10 prima

    1st hand.

A LAG player (1400 behind.. decent player) makes it 30 UTG.
I have 1900 behind and make it 95 with KK in the cut off. I have re-raised a lot against this player. (edit... i have only ever played back at this guy in the blinds.. i've played tight enough against the rest at the table)

Button (TAG) flat calls. Guaranteed PP looking for set. I imagine he'd re-raise with QQ/KK/AA here.. so I put him on something like JJ/TT/99/88.. slight possibility of AA.
    UTG calls.

    Flop QK2r (300)

    UTG checks.

what should I bet to maximise my potential earnings? should i check? I kick myself for playing tight up until this hand.. because a queen will not call my bet here. I stink of a premium hand.

    2nd hand

    about 1 hr later!

The same LAG player from the previous hand makes it 45 on the button. He has 1500 behind.
I call with AQo on the BB. I have 1200 behind.

    Flop K88 (95)
    I check.
    He bets 65.
I call ( I call because he has always fires off a continuation bet.. and also I try to repesent stength here.. I have raised him a few times OOP and he has come back over the top every time..)
    Turn K (225).
    I check.
He bets 100 (somewhat lower than his usual continuation turn bet!)
    How should I proceed?
How was my play up until the turn.. Should I have raised pre-flop?

Hand 1: Bet anyway, about 1/2 to 2/3rds of the pot.

Hand 2: He may have slowed down his betting because he really hates his hand now or he really likes it. Maybe min-raise(i hate min-raises lol) the turn and fold to any further action. If called I might just check behind on the river or if I believe he has a similiar hand or something like TT-QQ I will bet about 1/3rd pot on the river. This is all a maybe. I could be very wrong, I've been playing too many tournaments recently.

I would normally bet the first hand, hope UTG makes a play for the pot or someone has a K or gets stubborn with a Q. If you check it won't make it that much easier to get money in afterwards, and you may be missing an opportunity if someone has AK. There's not much point in letting the button "catch up" if he really does have 88-JJ, giving a free card is more likely to give UTG a straight than to give button a set.

2nd one 3 handed I would reraise AQ about 75% of the time here, I think sometimes calling OOP is OK. If I call I probably give up on the flop. If I check called the flop I would now check raise the turn, make it 300 or 400. Get rid of another A or something like 99. But I don't think this line is great, which is why I fold the flop to avoid bluffing my stack off on the later streets.

Hand 1 I'm betting 100% of the time. Check calling looks too strong IMO when you've been playing tight. I'll porbably bet about 1/2 pot.

Second hand, we're often ahead here. I might call the turn and check call the river, really depends on the villain though.
