ok i know i suck at this so go ahead and tell me what i did wrong and how i should have played this:
    2/4 PPP 6 max:
    EP limps (400)
im on the button with 99 and make it 14 i have 160 behind me
    BB calls(450)

    flop (44)
    2 3 5 rainbow
check ,check and i bet 25?(thoughts?)
BB check raises and makes another 100 to me?
    EP folds.
    whats my move?

i would have played it the same way but it looks like youl have to fold now i dont fancy 99 to a check-raise of 4 times your original raise.

Raise more preflop, and then push the flop when chk raised.

ok so a push is good here then?
cuz thats what i did and i thought it was a bad play and i should have folded to the check raise.
    why is push good play.
is it simply because i have invested too much?
and how much should i have raised pre flop?

A push is good because although you probably lose this hand close to 50% of the time, there is a good amount in the pot. If you had a full buyin id fold. Also because you have so little the villain will afford you less respect so you may well see AK or something here.

Id make it at least 20 preflop, probably 24.

so i did push and BB called and showed 64s for the stright.
so apart from my pre flop raise all else was ok?

Why did you only have 160 behind?

I fancy 99, with my crappy 140 stack on a 2/4 game plenty much here.

    I shove.
