How to play KK

I was playing a offline tourney and got poket Kings... raised medium bet and got re-raised all in ... called and another player called also.

First player to go all-in dropped pocket kings like myself only to see pocket Aces by the third player. Unfortunate yeah... nearly a hopeless draw left. Lost to pocket AA's.

Played on line the same night and first hand given was KK (again)... played it slower with smaller bets and lost out to a straight on the river with the other player holding 4 & 5 offsuit.

    How are KKs' best played?
    Many thanks

    The first way.

Coming up against the Aces is bad luck. Slow playing is not really an option either. You have to push those pathetic hands out before the flop or you can be left in a world of hurt.

bet big after the flop you shouldnt have given 45o a chance to hit a straight on the river there is a fine line between maximum value and getin dogged.

How small were your bets? Were you pricing any draws in?

    1)With a stack of 3k, I raised 500...... then got re-raised with all in!

2)Limped in with 250 from 2k stack got called

    what position were you in?

how many callers when you limped(or did you yourself raise to 250)...what did the flop come down with? and what was the flop bet and turn bet.

if you are in the BB and UTG has raised to 250 with everyone folding then calling is fine. but you gotta hit with a big bet with any flop.

also the bet on the flop is crucial specially if there is a drawing board....you should never give any1 the odds to draw to a str8 or flush unless your already holding the nut straight/flush.

Great! Call! Hope it's not Aces.
