Guys does anyone use this product I'd like to get some opinions on it? I have heard of them before but never used their software. Need to find a good solution for a mid sized corporate environment. They are not very well known in comparison to McAfee, Symantec and TrendMicro, but they get some good reviews online an it sounds like a decent product
    cheers

    Zascar,

They are a reasonable solution! As you say, not that very well known (except in Scandinavia), but the product itself is built on the Kaspersky AV engine, which is quite a good product!

If you are asking me about the best solution, with the best management console, I would have to say that the McAfee solution is 2nd to none! With their release of Total Protection Suite, they have now gone beyond AV and offer a Host Based Intrusion Prevention product as well as a product for "NAC - Network Access Control", which effectively allows you manage who can/cannot access your network and what steps you can take to enforce a policy! On top of it their AV and anti-spyware product as well as their excellent management console - EPO.

    Just my 2 pence worth

Kaspersky KAV is widely recommended as one of the best commercial solutions so I'd check them out.

FYI F-Secure actually uses the KAV engine which is why it is often seen in a dead heat with KAV for the best detection rates.

Edit: Voodoo beat me to it.

Cheers guys. I've just been reading up on them and yes you are correct the product is build on Kaspersky but also has 2 other engines built in so it is second to none when it comes to virus scanning. Aparantly F-Secure are the fastest growing Antivirus company out there which must be a good sign. Not sure who sells it in irelaland though.

Saw a product with a similar name in Aldi the other day for €8.99??? Will try to check this p.m. Probably not a corporate version though!

UCC use F-Secure on all the PCs across the campus, and have a site licence for students and staff. It has a reasonable footprint, updates everyday and has never left a virus through on my computers in the past three years or so.

    Zascar,

As previously stated on these boards (I dont want anyone to think that I am using this commercially), but I work for a Security reseller. We sell F-Secure and I can get you some pricing if you wish... Simply PM if you want pricing.
