    Hi folks,
I'm working doing tech. support for a small Law firm. I was just wondering how other firms organise their precedents?
Whether digital dictation is worth a look?
    And any other tips.
I'm at a loss to know how to tackle this place!!
Thanks in advance for any comments help.
    JP

Copied to Comp/Tech. You might get some better answers over there.

Would it not be an idea to engage a firm such as LegalIT? (http://www.legalit.ie/index.asp) I know they have a quite impressive SQL based case managment system, but you most certainly will pay for it. They also do digital dictation systems.

It might be a good idea to talk to these people, even if no money ever changes hands you will learn a lot.

If you are planning on going down the route of building a managment system yourself a MySQL database and php front end is hard enough to beat (except when you start running into scalability issues such as *cough* boards *cough*).
