    Well the first one seems pretty good value for the price.

    But the second one above is overall the better system but I cant see the price;

    As to why;
    Faster HD
    Faster GPU - a 6800GS (like in the first system) is on par with a 7600GT and this system has a 7900GT.

    The CPU isnt dual core but really that wont make much of a difference unless your a heavy multi-tasker & games that use dual core CPU's aren't too common.

    second one is £650 or pretty much same from OCUK @ £620
    does not having dual core matter much, gonna cause problems when updating in future?

    Just buy it from overclockers then. Id go for a dual core if you have the money its only about £40 more then a 3700+.
