    hi all

doing a project and thought I'd get some of your feedback on the below. They're all very simular, but one has to be chosen. I have my favorite, just wondering if I could get what you think of the shots and if one stands as the strongest

defo number one. the shot needs the grain of the wood in it with the fall off of light at the back, and with the shallower depth of field in the other two the milk looks watery and not pure white. the text fits the best with the first one aswell. nice shot

Number 1, but i like 3 too. I think no. 1 is the best though, it shows more, which i like.

I preferred the 2nd one - I like the view back down the cartone where it loses focus towards the far end. It makes the foreground appear much sharper. Also the table is more pitch black in the 2nd one which seems to suit the picture better.

I'd go with the second one too.

thanks for the input everyone. I think I'm going to stick with is no 1.

If it were my choice, I'd go with number 1 because I think the composition is the best as well as the balance of black and white space.

The diagonal line of milk leading into the corner is much more interesting (milk... interesting  well ya know what I mean) than the pool in the other ones. The composition in that first one also means that my eye was drawn along the spilt milk on the table rather than to the brand name of the milk, as happened with the other two.

I'd say the first one is the strongest.

am I mad in thinking the reason most ppl prefered number on is cause most ppl are right handed and milk spilling to the right looks more natural than milk spilling to the left?

Those who said number 2, are ye left handed?

    good observation oxygen

I'm always aware that images that have a left>right orientation have less tension then images that have a right>left movement to them.

It's related to how we feel most comfortable receiving information. this side of the planet we get it from scanning left to right.

In these images no 1 is the only one that goes from left>right giving it more flow and less tension. I wanted to try it from both directions thinking that the right>left may suit as spilling milk tends to make us a touch annoyed.

    I'm a lefty BTW. :)

I like the way your eye is drawn from left to right and downtheways in the first picture. All three are very good mind you
