Selling Old Cars

    Hi,

I came into possession of a 91 Mazda Mx3 (Eunos Presso Jap import) 1.5 litre automatic with about 80,000 miles on the clock about 6 months ago and I want to sell it as I don't need it, fun as it is.

Are there any car dealers who specialise in buying second hand cars?

I would prefer a quick sale to meeting an endless series of tyre kickers.

How does one avoid the tyre kickers calling around?

    Any help much appreciated.

Is that mileage legit? Sounds suspiciously low for a 1991 car.

I belive so. It is actually in kilometers (136,000) being a jap car but as I said i have only had it the 6 months

Unfortunately it is not all that special and the 1.5 engine puts it out of the reach of its typical market (young, male, no fashion sense..) and the auto box is about as desirable as cold sores (I like 'em - the target market doesn't). As for getting a dealer to buy it, slim chance unless you are letting it off for €150. Bring it to an auction and take your chances (quick sale = low price though). Stick it on eBay.ie for the laugh - wait for a free motors listing day and see what happens - there are so few cars sold there it will get plenty of views.
