Anyone ever hear of this Irish band?
I have a tape of theirs from about eleven years ago, called 'Infliction'. Some really good stuff, but I've never heard anyone mention them.

Infliction's a savage album. They've broken up as far as I know, very unfortunate.

They split up in 98 and released an album, ".....and finally" shortly after. Have never been able to find any thing much on what happened after the split.
    Review of the last album.

    Bit from the 4AD website

Scheer had a number of singles and one album called Infliction on 4AD, but the relationship was a somewhat uneasy one due to the fact that Scheer were an unabashed heavy metal group - not exactly a typical 4AD genre. Whilst their second LP was in production (and a preview track for this on the Anakin compilation of 1998 releases), they grew somewhat distant to 4AD and set up their own website, record label, etc.
Scheer's feelings were made known to 4AD around January 1998 and their departure was finalized in August. They then started their own record label called Schism Records (see http://www.schismrecords.com/) and were supposed to "have lots of material for the new album". However, I've heard that Scheer split up sometime during January 1999 and their website hasn't been updated for a long long time.

    Thats pretty old too.

    Just bits and pieces.
The was a web site for Schism Records which was set up by some of the heads in the band but it seams to be down :(

After they split Pete the bass player set up a record label called Schism records. Audrey the singer started a new project with a band called Luna *I think* Or it might have been Pulsar.

I think the drummer and guitar players went on to do production work.

Such a shame, Inflication was amazing. ...and finally would have been up there with it if they put the effort in.

Saw them at Sunstroke in Dalymount 1994 and in Whelans a year or two later. Pure class...

Scheer and Kerbdog. Two of the unsung heroes of the irish music scene

Yeah, I've heard good things about Kerbdog but I don't know any of their stuff.

Thanks tony 2 tone, those links are great. You reckon "...and finally" would be available anywhere?

Audrey wasn't in Pulszar afaik, there was 2 sisters also called Gallagher, dunno if thats any relation to Audrey. The singer sounded very like her too. All from Maghera in Derry too. Peter played drums for them at times. Cant find any thing about them doing any thing after 04.
Short clip of vid for Wish you were Dead

Probably get it on some of the on-line shops, dunno about anywhere else. Could always try tower or soundcellar on the off chance.
Or second hand places, picked up "Wish you were dead" single, before they were on 4AD, for 50 pence. :D
