Any Primus/Bungle/Faith no More fans???

Im a drummer interested in puttin togther a band with nods to the above - please dont read that as 'covers'!

Just kinda slightly odd not really tunes for the masses kinda stuff - im more along the Primus route myself but i love the weirdness of the other two

Looking for a bassist who can groove and lead and a guitarist who is interested in playin something ther then lead - i know crazy thought that!

As for singer - well i guess ill know em when i hear em!
So that department is open to all sorts

Yeah man, love all Mike Patton's stuff. Don't know much Primus stuff but I know what they're about. I'm a bass player but as I've said in other threads I've only converted from guitar to bass a while ago but I did fill in on bass in a band for a while but I dunno if I'd have the experience required for what you wanna do. Suppose I could play guitar or bass for ya but I never was that fond of lead guitar, more of a rhythm guitarist really. I'm 20 and based in Dublin city centre, you?

in dublin cednter myself - sure why not have a jam with guitar and bass and see which one you get on better with?

Tho in the bass dept im after someone that can slap and pop with a groove - that you buddy??

My slap bass is not the best yet I must admit. I'd be willing to have a go at anything though. See if you can get anyone more experienced and if not well I'll be available in June to have a go.

hey man, i play guitar, i LOVE anything and everything with Mike Patton in it, like Primus too. i'm 21, based in Rathcoole, can get to the city centre handy enough. i've been playing guitar for 3 or 4 years now, id love to try something that would give me a bit of creative freedom in a very non-conventional sense - i like to use effects, and get some odd sounds out of my guitar, i reckon i could add a bit of craziness/oddness. i have 3 Moogerfoogers (MuRF, Phase Shifter, Ring Mod), and a digital delay pedal that i use more for creating odd sounds than for actual delay, and a wah/vibrato pedal. Tool are one of my main influences, and Adam often adds in some odd sounds.

EDIT: oh, i have a violin bow & an electric toothbrush i like to use too

read ur post and I like your idea. I am looking for a drummer in this direction quite a while, but found it difficult to meet people who are up for the primus/patton style.
