I'd ask the same question - Looking at plastering house and looking at K-rend, is it any good, in like 10 years can I paint it if required? Would it be special Paint due to Silicone?

Yes , I can answer that one for you guys, I plastered our house back in August with Sto Silco-K which was put on top of Sto-Armat basecoat.
As to where you get it in Dublin STO actually have an office in Dublin, Haven't got the number to hand right now but will post it later.
Regarding Plasterers, and SilcoK, I had my BIL do it who is an excellent plasterer and he did a good job, BUT what is critical is the thickness of coat, the spec for the topcoat is 1.5mm all over, if he starts putting a slightly thicker coat on 3mm or so (easy to do) then your budget goes out the window.
I had calculated the exact amount for my house and was actually doing very well until the last gable was 2 buckets short which meant that the whole thing stopped until I can get the last 2 buckets of colour Y15 from my supplier in Sweden (house supplier).
I asked the Dublin branch if they could supply me but to their credit they said that any tinted plaster would be best coming from the original tinter rather than trying to match it.
In effect what it is is a very strong and clean looking plaster, I asked for a Nap finish as I find it nicer than the trowelled look, it is also easier to get a good finish.
You can repaint with any colour you like , STO actually sell special paint for this purpose. But maybe good exterior paint will work?

I'd be fairly confident of that...we'd to change the colour of some exterior STO a while back (only fresh on too) and teh developer ordered STO's own top coating....when we got it and opened it it's your average acrylic exterior masonry paint....the sole difference being the price tag; about 3.5 times the cost.

Alternative to K rend would be as follows:only in white though !

White sand, white cement and lime. You will get a chalk white effect finish, is only costing me €250 more than standard grey render finish on a 3 gabled wall dormer, garage and entrance walls. Should save that 2/3 fold in painting
