y use the komplett upgrade kit just buy your own mobo ,ram and cpu.

well if your into overclocking get the intel d 805 can go past speed of fx-60 and only costs 200e

or if not overclocking i would go for the amd 3800x2 or the 4200x2

    a asus or abit board

    crosair value ram.

I'd go with the X2. Almost all benchmarks would agree with me. check www.anandtech.com and you should find buckets...

When they came out, the slowest X2 kicked the fasest pentium D's ass... i'm not sure how much clock speeds have changed since the X2's originally came out, but i think the X2 would still be by far the faster chip.

An x2 3800+ would be the better option looking to the future, the price on the Intel bundle is very good though. You're losing a bit on the chipset using the 945 chipset, as it apparantly won't support conroe.

Intel are really selling the Pentium D cheaply now, making it almost worth it (if it wasn't for the noise/heat and inefficient dual core usage).

Tbh, you could be better off waiting 2-3 weeks for AM2 to appear, and see how things compare then.
