As some of you are aware my brother Chris is giving up his lease in the Anglers Rest. The new lease holder intends to turn upstairs into a late-night disco bar. Best of luck with this Nick, looks like another great tourney.
And best of luck finding a new venue in the area - I don't fancy having to walk to far with my winnings.

    new venues suggestions:
the palace on camden st - they have a pool floor with slot machine games down the back, that area could easily be used for poker, and students a plenty in the area that would use them during the day.
any of the magowans - usually big places and i belive VN and them have a good relationship..
the submarine - generally known as a footie pub, and they like thier poker...
    somewhere near me! :)

    Nick

Why not give either the Spa Hotel or the Springfield Hotel a try. Both conveniently located with amle rooms and car space and, to my knowledge, no regular poker games there.

    Thanks for the support guys.

The plan as it stands at the moment is to hold the end of month E50 one rebuy or top up in the White House. It's 5mins from the M50 on the Ashbourne rd. The function room is very spacious and privarte.

VN hold a E25 one rebuy OR top up in the White House every 2nd Weds. There is usually 80ish players with a prize pool of E3,000ish. Anyway (besides the shameless advertising) this is a good foundation to build the monthly E50 one rebuy game on.......If half the regular crowd show up that will be 40 players already.

In addition to this we will be holding another monthly game in the middle of the month in the Submarine bar, Crumlin. We hold a regular game there every Weds with usually 50ish players. I think the crumlin area has alot of potential and hopefully we can run a successfull monthly E50 one rebuy.

As for a weekly game to replace the Anglers I have a number of options. I need to finalise details on this this evening.

ANTO: "so are you playing the last game in the anglers?"
JEFF: "no, i'd better not, sure i'm in the middle of my exams..."
ANTO: "true, but think of it this way, you can repeat your exams in september and you cant play in the anglers in september!"
    JEFF: "ehm.... hmmmmm.... "
    _______________________

so after the above, and realising i had no strong argument against the flawless thinking of Anto i will be playing this game... i should really study!

I'm pretty close so I headed out for the last night. Started off well, hit nice hands early and built my stack. Just before the break one of the other players was getting low and he pushed, I called and he took a chunk off me. After that I got nothing and after the break was worse, got nothing worth playing and stack disappeared, very quickly I thought. Got low and pushed all-in, got called with pocket Aces.

On the way home put my hand in my pocket and found chips, I missed some chips when I was moving table. I knew stack disappeared too quick.

Was a good night though, and they said the weekly game should till go ahead, but just not on a friday.
