A humanoid skull on Mars?

This is a picture taken from the Spirit Sol 513 voyage to Mars. It has not recieved much public acknowledgement considering the implications. Basically this "skull" bares correct features of a human or "humanoid" skull. Such as eyebrow bone, forehead and nose bone. Very odd I think you will agree:

    Humanoid Skull

    More "skull like" photos:

    Smaller animal-like skulls

    Discuss.

Could easily be photoshopped. Or just an irregular rock formation. Probably hasn't received a lot of coverage because the claim in unfounded. tbh.

In fairness they are taken off the NASA sight (links are at the bottom) but its still just spotting a rock and imagining it looks like a skull.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,472 ✭✭✭So Glad

It's not photoshoped because it is from and official source ie. NASA.

    Here

And if it looks "photoshoped" then that is reason for concern.

Also, it looks nothing like an x-box. :p

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,821 ✭✭✭18AD

    Photoshopped!
It says in the article that the pictures look altered.

Conclusion: The photos are faked, they've never even seen Mars up close. It's some desert in America with a red tint.

    http://mars-news.de/color/blue.html

Or! People got so lazy when the Xbox 360 was invented back in the Martian civilisation days that they just rotted away infront of their consoles. (they had no tv's though)

    Reminiscent of this also: http://www.seds.org/~spider/spider/Mars/marsface.html

    I just don't know anyless.

I'll believe it when I see it!

Well, I for one think no imagining is involved. For one, it bears every resembelence to a humanoid (carefull wording here) eg. eyebrow rift, nose bone and simularly shaped skull.

Mars is nothing but rock, you'll eventually see something odd due to the current lighting.

So if you want to discuss it, why don't you start... how do you begin to explain this?

As I have said, these come from the only true source ie. NASA. So if you figure NASA photoshoped it then I believe you. That site I have supplied dicusses at great length NASAs image tampering abilities.

I can't explain. Although, if you don't mind long analysis, I recommend you to read the site I have supplied as I can ASSURE you is legitimate and well backed up.

Those are only the photos that NASA let you see! they also have pictures of a 2,000 year old toasted cheese sandwich showing the image of the virgin mary found on mars south pole but the pictures were immediatly classified and a mission is being planned to land a man on mars so the evidence can be destroyed and the sandwich eaten. ITS ALL TRUE I TELL YOU!

True. Mars is that colour. It is the Carbon Dioxide in the atmosphere that gives it the red/pink hue from far away observation. I have no idea why NASA would want to alter the picture red. Maybe to help the image tampering software?

I have allot more evidence of life of Mars and strange anomalies on the moon (yes, the moon) but I will not post them here.

This is what Mars looks like in real color at sunset:
    Martian Sunset.

Those pictures are in false color.

It is true that NASA do have higher resolution picture that are not issued to the public but as far as toasted cheese sandwiches go I gather that is a sarcastic brush-off and a manouver to ignore everything said regardless.

Right lets take it easy here. Theres a picture of Mars...

    http://marsrover.nasa.gov/gallery/all/2/p/513/2P171912249EFFAAL4P2425R1M1.JPG

... which shows a load of rocks, and apparently a "humanoid" skull. Now instead of just using our brains and coming to the conclusion that it is a rock that bears a slight passing resemblance to a skull, lets stick in some nonsense like...

"its general position suggests an unseen body laying on its back under the ground."

    and

"image tampering applications partially obscuring this object that gives much more credence to this being something someone did not want us to be able to adequately recognize."

... to suggest that NASA are trying to cover something up from us.

IF NASA DIDN'T WANT US TO SEE THE PICTURE THEN THEY WOULDN'T PUBLISH IT. THEY WOULD NOT PUT A LITTLE BIT OF EDITING IN FRONT OF THE "SKULL"

Ladies and Gentlemen, I rest my case.

If you believe this, may I interest you in some more conspiracy theorys at...

True. But how would they hide the pictures? No matter what, it still looks like a feckin' skull ok?

looks interesting, dont understand why people are getting worked up about it, I wouldnt mind seeing those strange anomalies on the moon your talking about :-)

I'm not saying it doesn't look like a skull. It does.

What I'm saying is that it ISN'T a skull. I'm also interested in hearing some more anomalies, but please either post them on the Conspiracy Theories or Humour forums. :)

Don't know if I should post them here but I will. Not REALLY conlusive, but odd all the same. The next photo I will link with a press statement issue, released by NASA when lunar orbiter 2 beamed back new pictures of the moon.

    November 22nd 1966:

NASA issued a press release on Nov. 22, 1966, with pictures from Lunar Orbiter 2, showing "amazing things" on the Moon. The story and pictures appeared in various newspapers at the time, but for some reason did not get national attention.

A United Press International story that stated: "Moon spires never seen before that looked like tall, skinny pyramids showed up in a photograph of the moon . . . scientists said today . . .

"Judging by the shadows cast by the sun, one (spire) looks like the George Washington National Monument," said a spokesman at Cal Tech's Laboratory. "Some of the smaller ones look like upside down ice cream cones," he said."

Apollo 12 landed in the general area of the moon where the spires were photographed, although the crew of that mission made no mention of seeing any anomalies. "It would seem to me that such things would be of primary interest to scientists and astronauts," he said. "To me this is most unusual, unless of course security was invoked. . ."

    Towers

    More buildings and towers

Inconclusive but strange. It is also worth noting that for some reason we have more higher resolution and close up pictures of Mars and other planets than the Moon, even though it is closer and has been photographed many times.

What a load of crap. Something that looks like a skull and suckers are all over it thinking it must be a skull. Get a life. FACT

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,472 ✭✭✭So Glad

Browse this site for loads of stuff about Mars and the Moon.

    MarsAnomalyResearch

Some of the things on that site are probably not as conclusive as you would like but due to the bad quality picture distributed to the public domain and it is all that they are left to work with. Some things will amaze you.

Also, I realise this is all ludicrous stuff to be saying but what were you expecting? In what form where you expecting to discover life? When the discovery of life comes along the implications are GOING to be ludicrous so I don't see the point in the whole sarcastic wave of cynicism that usually occurs when people are confronted with such things. Give it a chance then criticise.

Mars hasn't been active in any way since the Hesperian Epoch, which was a long time ago.

It's just an imaging and lighting effect.

Well, we do know one thing. IT'S PROBABLE. We simply don't know what could have lived there. And to Son Goku, you do not know that ENTIRELY, unless you were there?

Haven't been to Mars recently no, but I'm fairly confident NASA have covered all the angles and aren't trying to cover up any hidden skeletons by drawing little scribbles in front of them.

Do you think that this guy died recently, because his body is quite near the surface?

Cool skulls, but probably rocks with coincidental shapes and shading? Does anyone think they are male? Might give support to the book, Men are from Mars and Women from Venus? I know, stupid joke!:D

Those aren't towers in the second links, it's either someone using the smudge tool on photoshop or it's corrupted data in the image.

As for the first photo - anyone notice the Jawa Sandcrawler in the back left? That would make the martians MASSIVE if it's actually a sandcrawler mobile.
