    can witnesses to a will be related to one another? (parent child sibling) or married to each other?
    can witnesses be related to the executors ? or married to one of the executors?
    can witnesses be related to the beneficiaries ? ( i know they cant be married)

    A witness to a will or their spouse can not benefit from the will, the legacy is void. The exception is if the spouse marries the witness after the will was witnessed. s. 82 of the succession act http://www.irishstatutebook.ie/ZZA27Y1965S82.html

    Note the will is sitll valid, just the bequest to the witness is invalid.


    s. 84 of the succession act, an executor can act as witness
