    hey folks,

    Just to let yee know, there's an info and recruitment evening on in the Alexander Hotel (off Merrion Sq, Dublin) this Thurs from 5.30 to 9pm for those who are thinking about relocating to the West of Ireland.

    I can't say I've given it much thought myself, but I'm kinda putting on those "long term" vision glasses and wondering where the hell I'll see myself in a couple of years.

    Has anyone here seriously thought about such a move or even gone ahead with it?

    Hey

    Ive been checking out a few posts on this before particularly in the Region forums.Im thinking bout getting out of Dublin and heading to the northwest, Donegal/Derry.Main reason being my missus lives up there but also the price of housing etc here has really put me off. Im originally from Dublin but I dont want to spend over 500k on a house and spend the next 30 years living on the bread line.

    My only concern is the job opportunities in the northwest area.I come from a Telecoms background but could switch to mainstream IT, but as I said oppurtunities in the area dont seem to be available on an ongoing basis.
