Downloading TV Guide Listings

I have a MCE box that uses a dialup connection :/ (will have bb soon) I tried to update the guide, it was updating for over an hour and had transferred close to 10mb. My question is how big is a guide download?!? I am downloading the guide for Sky digital Ireland. Can the guide be downloaded and dropped into a directory?

    Thanks,

you should edit the epg to only show the channels you will use and the download should be a lot smaller, the full epg contains a few hundred channels, most of which you will (probably) never view.

well the EPG for NTL Digital took about 4mins on a 4Mb\s connection for me today.

Thanks for all the info peeps.

4 minutes on a phat line!?!? I cringe at the thought of doing it over dialup. I will let it update and then edit the EPG.

let it run through and get the full EPG. The updates are much smaller, its the first load that takes the longest.
