I played for the Clontarf Under 20's B team last year. Standard for the first team would be senior cup standard but a year older pretty much. As for the B's it would be a good standard but it didn't really matter if you aren't brilliant as you will always get a match for some team in the club. I found I had the most fun with the senior 3rd's 3rdA's and 3rdB's. Under 20's seemed very serious last year but I think a lot of that was due to the coach.... next year there is a different coach though so all is good.

If you're planning on playing for the 1st under 20's team, be prepared for a very tough league campaign. The league is full of quality and the universities in particular assemble really well balanced sides full of quality.

Well they are changing things around next year so there wont actually be a under 20's seconds team. But those who dont make the squad for the first team will play with the senior 3rd a's/b's on a thursday and then on the weekend. Last season there wasnt enough players for the 3rd b's so they were always left without subs etc. But as long as you are in anyway capable there should be no problem in getting games.

U20's is very competitive. Go for one of the Junior teams instead, it's more relaxed.
