    Hi,
I just happened to pick this movie out yesterday. I thought it was very good. Anybody else see it? It definitely needs another watch but if somebody wants to watch something that has a similar feel to PI and Memento this is it. Once it gets going the confusion at the start sorts itself out. Mostly that is

    I liked it a lot...

Very clever little plot and there are some wonderful natural touches to the characters and how they interact with each other.

Watched a few weeks ago and was very impressed. One of those movies that stays with you after you watch it.

Very clever and completely engaging from start to finish.

yeah I thought it was pretty good, took awhile to get going, and Im not 100% sure about what happened in the end, lol! But still enjoyed it

Tried watching it and got half an hour into it - the physics terms and the complexity of it was too much for me.

It was late at night and i was a bit wrecked and it's still on the XBox ready to watch so will give it another try after the exams.

    But regarding the ending..
i recall seeing a timeline on the web detailing the time overlapping various plot points of the film occur

It does get pretty complicated... but that's what happens when you make a realistic film about time travel.

Usually when you see a film about time travel you can pick massive holes in the plot... but with Primer it really does seem like how things would go down if time travel was possible.

Yeah.. will definantly give it another try.

Studied physics for a couple of years so the terms probably brought back painful memories but am very interested in the area of time travel and don't think i've ever seen a film depict it realistically.

So, i will give it another watch and hopefully it won't go alongside my copy of '12 Monkeys' which i never finished watching.

Great film... and it has monkeys in the title... Also a very good time travel concept.

I'm afraid Terry Gilliam just lost me with it... love the majority of his work but 'Twelve Monkeys' while i enjoyed the performances just didn't grab me.

But might give it another try!

Not bad.. but there are probably a good deal more timelines than that as it seemed it took them a good few tries to stop the shooting at the party right.

To be fair, after the first half hour or so of being bombarded with physics terms they pretty much drop them completely.

The movie is more about the relationship between the two friends, albeit wrapped up in the most realistic take on time travel in film to date.

Great film, the first part was pretty exhausting as it started straight into it without giving much time to settle but was set and played out brilliantly. Only had a brief idea what the film was about before watching it but it handles the concepts much better than most before it. Feels longer than it is because of the pace i think its just over an hour if I remember..
