    Hey,
Im applying for a tourist visa for China, can someone explain what single/double and multiple entry visa's are? Does it mean I can leave the country and come back (if I have the double or multi visa's)?

    Thanks

Single entry means you come in you go out. you have have to pay to come back in or reapply for your visa the next time.

Double or multiple entry allow you to come and go either for a limited period or limited number of entries/exits.

I had this in Zimbabwe and what happened was we got Single entry visas but because we were in Vic Falls there is an exemption to go over the border to Zambia, so you dont require a multiple entry visa.

If you plan to go in and out multiple times then a multiple entry visa is what you need. In most countries this is cheaper to get (ie works out cheaper than 2 single entry visas).
