I just recieved a link for a "demon bear" on eBay, and I was remembering about all those supposedly haunted or possessed items that go for acution on there.

Do you guys think this is real, or a load of crap?

    Link here btw: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=6056014456

    Observations below....

One thing I noticed is that I started feeling severe chills down my spine towards the end of reading everything, and the funny thing is that I'm in the hottest part of my room (28c), so the shivering shouldn't happen, and that's considering the window is open!

Eh, I really dunno about this stuff at times...

    awake :)

I dunno, didn't click on the link, don't want to think about it before bed :)
Is it one of those things that was the in the posession of a deceased child or something and if so its possible that those sensitive to perceiving energy on that level would pick up "stone memories" from it.
Other than that it might just be the placing of some heavy suggestion, which can be particulalry effective.

It could be concidered that all things are "haunted" - Psychometry:

    I disagree.
what can be tapped into via psychometry is passive and tends to be impressions
or recording about the person who owned the item and in most cases wore it a lot.

Objects that are haunted or possed tend to be active with a person focusing in on them to use psychometry, and effect those arround them and have a wider range of effect.

I concidered psychometry with regards to the Haunted part of the OT. Haunting does not nessecerily mean a conscious spirit. With the likes of echoes it is an energy imprinted on an area or object - psychometry is just the reading of objects which have had energy imprinted on them.

As for possessed items i'm out on this one til i look into it more.

I guess you could use the term haunting to mean that an object resonates so that if can be read. :)

Im sorry but If your teddy was haunted and you wanted it out of your house you WOULDNT wait for a week of bids before getting shot of it. Interesting if its true though. It looks evil enough :D . Id agree with Thaed and put this down to psychology but as you know from Charleville im a very "believe it when I see it" type of guy. ;)

yeah i cant buy that that teddy is possessed, interesting story but i cant imagine anyone would go the ebay route if it were true.

That guy has been reading too many Stephen King novels.

Needless Things and Pet Cemetary pop to mind and I didn't even read the whole thing.
