Each County Board has there own leagues, I have only ever been involved in the Dublin County Leagues.

They usually start end of August or start of September. They go from 11 years (boy1) up to 16 years (youth2). They are on every Monday & Wednesday nights up to the finals which are usually on around the end of November, in the Ringside Club beside the national stadium.

From 12 years (boy2) up to 16years (youth2) each weight category is set in two divions - Junior & Senior:
Junior - any new boxer, or any boxer that hasn't won previous Leagues or has weighed into the Dublin Championships
Senior - any boxer who has won a previous Leagues or has weighed into the Dublin Championships must enter as a senior league.

Each club will get an entry form from the Dublin County Board, either at the by-weekly meetings or by post. You fill it in with all your boxers and then you bring this and the boxers to the weigh-ins. The weigh-ins are held upstairs in the ringside club (beside the national stadium), usually on a Sunday morning.

Is your club affialiated to the Dublin County Board. As the Dublin County Baord hold meetings usually every 2 weeks and a representive from each club should attend, at the meetings you get all the info on upcoming championships, coaching courses etc.

The head of the county board is Mr Art O'Brien do you want his contact number??? he will probably know the exact dates of the weigh-in etc.

To be Honest I don't think you would be allowed enter any championships unless your club is affialiated to the Dublin County Board.

Also to register as a boxer, you must undergo a medical from your GP (doctur) first. You also get this Medical form from your club. When you get this filled in by your GP you will be issued with a boxers card, all fights are recorded on this card.

Each boxers card must be presented along with the Registration form at the weigh-in of the leagues.
