I read on this board there was one in Charleville. How often are they, once or twice a year?

NO set frequency - they pop up when ever we get a chance to organise it. With one of us being in UK can be difficult. There is talk of one in a few weeks but its looking like it will be a little last minute and not as big a group as the last one - no more than 10 people this time. There will be at least 2 more this year though.

Charleville is just one location though so lets say an average of 4 there a year and a few other places now and then.

    That answer your question?

I don't think anyone would believe you if you said you saw a ghost and you were stinking of rum.

So... booze would be a bad idea.

What if... *I* bring booze, *I* drink booze, and *I* promise not to say anything if I see a ghost? :)

Its a no drink affair, if i for one organised an event and i found someone was sneaking a sip from a hip flask i'd physically put them in a taxi.

On a lighter note I do intend to try another Greet&Grub™ sometime early summer but that depends on a few factors.

I'm really hoping that this is a joke, because if you actually did that, I wouldn't be very impressed, in addition to the fact that I'd be on the phone to a taxi post-haste. I also would have to question your being there on the investigation, if you're really wanting to do this on one.

I may or may not be able to attend it, but we'll see when it is first.

Guys - It was a joke, chill! This stuff interests me, I guess this is a non humourous forums

Oh btw, if you were ringing a Taxi, I hope that you'd be paying... Galway is a long way away ;)

I think normally that would have been taken in the spirit (*double pun definitely intended* :) ) it was meant, but after the last time people may be a bit on edge, see *Regarding Charleville Investigation 15th April

Cool, JC my reply was meant lightheartedly (you should have seen my smiling face as i wrote it). The taxi would only be bring you as far as the offlicence to get me some cans too.

You are as welcome on a trip as anyone else and hope you'll stick around to go on one.

Thats the thing i hate about forums, it can be hard to mood of a post.

For everyones attention I will be ringing tomorrow to see if we can have the castle on the 3rd June.

6th - I presume you mean the night of the 3rd June? If so, bugger, I cant make it :(

Don't suppose you want to make it the weekend before? :) While im not ig into this whole paranormal lark, the thought of spending the night in a Castle fascinates me!

Sorry JC the weekend beofre is out but dont worry, there will definately be another one not long after that. Sure once you get a couple done with us you'll be running your own in some of Galways spots!

    I'm afraid I've never really been able to completely take the alcohol thing in a joking manner... I think it depends on how you say it, because I can accept some alcohol/paranormal related jokes, and more in person (because I can pick up the tone). I've heard of people wanting to bring alcohol on investigation before, seriously, so I tend to be a little wary of people asking about it. I did think you were joking, though over the internet, it is hard to tell, so I took a "better safe than sorry" approach. Sorry about being so serious about it all, lol ^_^;;;

You're very welcome to come along on the next investigation I'm organising if you're unable to make the one in June... I'm at the very least looking at one in August, though I might have one organised in July, but that one may end up being closed, because there is a specific reason for it...
Oh btw, if you were ringing a Taxi, I hope that you'd be paying... Galway is a long way away ;)

I guess we'd have to lock you up in the dungeon then... it's cheaper, plus it would scare you into realising the error of your ways ;)

First weekend in June should be fine for me... I'll be in Istanbul the weekend before.

Oh... and there is a place close to me that has had a lot of sightings... it's the St. David's school in Artane. The ghost in question is known as the Blue Boy... he susposedly died from jumping off the roof of the school as he was sick of being abused by the Christian Brothers.

But a lot of people who I would asume to be rational individuals have seen him over the years.

It could be worth checking out at some stage.. and because it's in my catchment area my Radio station could cover it properly.

Sounds like a plan... I'd be up for investigating that place sometime for sure :)

What about Leap Castle for an investigation . By the way where ever we go the weather is going to be fantastic so get the moves on for a paranormal picnic and some suntan lotion out there. There is no better place to be than an old country castle on a hot summers day. And while my mind is racing (influenced by Most Haunted) Why not small group "vigils" around the building and its grounds to cover the most places at one time . We cant be to apprehensive after previous events or non events or whatever happened .

I don't think Leap can be considered an investigation location. I was talking to someone about this, who has contact with the owner of the castle, and he seemingly doesn't mind us checking the place out during the day, but overnight seems out of the question, because the owner, understandably, doesn't want people mooching around his home in the dark... or at least that's what I recall being said. I might go and investigate it further though... if not me, then Mark and Steven.

We'll try to keep you posted, but don't expect anything for quite some time, because I dunno what'll happen on this front just yet, but I'll be sure to let you know if anything does happen. :)
