I hate to be boring but it looks a day for favourites at Newmarket. I can see the first 4 races all going to the favourites. The bet of the day and possibly the week has to be Shirocco at 7/4. Won the Breeders cup turf beating the best Europe has to offer, will love the ground. I keep asking myself am I missing something, why the hell is it still 7/4 against this lot. The only concern is it's his first start of the season, but if he's fit he'll surely hack up.

The other favourites Levara, Musicanna and Rumplestilskin will all be carrying my money, maybe even a small accumulator, it's just under 100/1 for the 4.

Can anybody talk Pighead out of backing Musicanna at 7/4? Was considering backing him yesterday but was worried about Echelon. Echelon now a Non Runner so surely this is Musicannas for the taking?

Very good season last year culminating in a good 3rd behind highly rated Peeress.(Also beat Chic that day).Fitness is the only slight concern but then again the top 3 in the betting haven't been out in a while.

    4:25 GOWRAN PARK.
i think PUERTO RICO is a banker in this race. o brien has two horses in this race and both are favourates. PUERTO RICO ran a great race in his last race and obrien expects alot from him although he has only raced once you know a good horse when you see one and i havbe been waiting for him to run again. he should win this.
he is being supported today and is 7/4 and i wouldnt be surprised to see him going off as evens favourate.

Shirocco won easily as expected, I still can't believe he was available at 7/4, I wasn't one bit surprised to see the gamble on him into 10/11.
