Over 40 hands villain is 47/8 which doesnt really help much. Anyway..

    Party 2/4 NL
Stacks here Villain 550 I cover

Villain limps in the HJ, folded to my button and I make it 20 with QQ

    Villain calls..
    Flop comes 7s, 4h, 9h
He, checks, I bet 30 into 41 or so [standard for me]
    He raises me to 90

Now I have no idea what he has..he could have a an oesd, a pair with a combo draw, a set, an overpair, 2 pairs, a naked flush draw. I dont want to raise here because im not sure my hand is best and he could push any of these hands over my 3 bet..so I decide to call

    Turn comes the 9c
He pushes for 430 or so

    I?

I would prolly fold here. Huge overbets usually mean monsters at this level.

I dont think this is true, at least I havent found it to be
Huge overbets have tended to be busted draws or hands that desperately dont want to be called in my experience [50k hands so far]

    You fold.

Why do I fold? What does he have?

What do you think of my flop play?

    Flop is ok.
    How aggro is he postflop?
This is a good flop for a limp/caller, and he check/raises the flop, then the top card pairs, and he pushes.

I dont know the guy, but against an unknown, I lay down here.
I dont know what he has, but he looks likely to have you beat.

i raise or dump on the flop. if i called on the flop i'd prob grudgingly fold on the turn.

would you completely rule out AA here? he flat calls EP it already heads up, he doent have to reraise to lose his customer, you bet out he raises for the sam reason you do. then he pushes to make most draws uncallable, albeit's a terrible bet if he does..but can you rule it out completely? i think JJ-KK re-raising here.

Surely he doesn't limp AA in this position. As played I fold, I don't know if he usually has a monster but I no longer like my hand.

I would have completely ruled out an overpair before the hand...who limp calls with 1010+? But anyway...

I called, deciding that he had hearts and was using the 9 to try and push me off my overpair. I think in hindsight this was a very marginal to bad call but it worked out as he tabled the other QQ for the split.

It was a bad call, but how terribly did he play his hand!?
