    Hi all,
My girlfriend got the Lidl fish tank a few weeks ago and today she got a goldfish.
There's a light on the tank - should she leave it on all the time or should she turn it off at night ?

Turn it off at night. Depending on the location of the tank and the strength of the bulb you may it doesn't make a difference during the day either.

Were Lidl doing fish tanks? What are they like?
Goldfish generally don't need a light I think it's just for effect I think lights can encourage algae growth in tanks but they are used in larger ones for effect I think in smaller ones it's not used so much.
