Can someone help me with the Ryanair site?

    Dublin to Murcia (Alicante)
    from €14.99

I am trying to book this cheapo flight. The conditions are that it must be booked before 8th May and you must travel in May, June, Sept or Oct.

So I select my dates in June but the price comes up as about 100 euro eachway - even after taxes, it should not be this much. Any ideas why the site isn't relecting the offer? This has happened to me before for other routes.

Is Ryanair just being mean with their advertising or do you think it's a prob with the site?

    Here's the deal:

    http://www.ryanair.com/site/EN/fares.php?dest=MJV&base=DUB

    Thanks lads.

Read the small print - it says "from" 14.99.

Basically all the good fares are gone. So you are left with the dearer fares. Its par for the course with airlines not just Ryanair.

    it says from 14.99

That price must have gone once they went on sale.... demand has pushed the price level up.

EDIT - squirrel got there before me :p

Faster than a speeding squirrel me :D

Try being flexible on your dates if you can - that might help lower the price.

Also Aer Lingus fly to Alicante too - try them.

I think the ryanair website should automatically update itself when all lowest price seats are sold and there are no longer any left at the advertised price. Its mischievious to keep advertising prices that might only have been available for a tiny proportion of seats and which might have been sold ages ago...

Also the main advertising banner on Irish ryanair.com website quotes prices from €5.24 INCLUDING taxes, fees and charges to the UK. anyone know which route this is or was available on because each route I try has taxes of at least €8.24. Also I assume the €5.24 did not include the CREDIT or DEBIT card charge ?

They advertise from €14.99, any one can see that that price will only last when the seats are first on sale, also, you have to acvertise a sale price for a certain length before changing it, hence they say from. no offence, but I'm sure the marketing people that work for ryanair know what they're doing!

I thought I'd stop flying with them after I learnt BMI baby flew from Heathrow and had cheap tickets, yes their tickets were cheap but when you add the taxes from heathrow, it's way more expensive, even with the £15 it costs to get to an airport Ryanair fly from.

Looks like ryanair get my money for another while :) Unlucky about not getting cheap flights, did you try being flexible? Like move the dates 1 day later etc, and repeat till you land on a cheap flight.

It's a pity ryanair don;t have a facility on their site that shows you the days the cheap flights are available, then again that'd probably be a bad business move :)

AerLingus are cheaper than BMI from Heathrow.

The absolute lowest returns from Dublin to London
Stansted with Ryanair is around €50
Heathrow with AerLingus €58 and BMI €70

Bear in mind the charges for baggage with Ryanair which will raise prices even further if you're not carrying on your bags.
