Fund Admin position interview - test?

hey,

I've an interview for a fund admin position lined up next week.
No point telling me all the bad points
I've heard that a lot of the companies give a quick written test of financial aspects / basic deriviates.
Can anyone give some examples or key areas I should brush up on?
I dont have a business degree, (that nearly all companies look for) but have been accepted so far on my other banking experience.

You really don't need to know that much. I displayed complete ignorance when I did an interview for a fund accounting position and still got it.

Know the real basics. What is a stock/share/equity. What is a bond. Why would you invest in a fund (risk diversification and fund manager expertise)

Also know the different parties to fund administration and the basics of what they do.

Fund accounting/administration
Transfer Agency (Shareholder Services)
Custody

But even if you didn't know any of this, and only did your homework on the company you should get in no problem. Most places are crying out for people. One place went over to Poland on a recruitment drive and brought a fair few people over.


You should be able to find plenty of stuff, but shout if you get stuck.
