I'm looking at having the VN monthly E50 one rebuy OR top on either Sun 21st or Sun 28th May.

Does anyone know will either of these dates clash with any other event. Which date would be most suited??

the students suggest the 28th may so myself and anto can play... but really have no problem with either!

I think the Heineken Cup Final is on the 21st Nick.

28th sounds good, just before the World Cup starts.

Is there even a venue for it now that the Angler's Rest is a no-go?

erm ... I'd imagine so, wouldn't be much point in organising a tournament otherwise:p

    I hope you're not a logistics student.

I think We'll go with the 28th may. The venue is The White House which is 5 mins from the M5o on the Ashbourne rd. The room is perfect for it. We run a E25 one rebuy OR top up in the White House every 2nd Weds. There is a very strong attendance - usually 80ish. This is a good foundation to build this tournament on. I'd be very confident in getting 80/90 runners.

    I'll post full details soon

Ok to all the smart arses who know the exact location of the Dublin County border here is a question to you.Is The White House pub in Dublin or Meath...?

PS:if you don't know what I am talking about I have not gone crazy at least I think I have not. This goes back to a thread last week were I got stick for not knowing the exact location of the Dublin County border.

You probably get doubletime for travelling into Meath, so I've no doubt you know exactly where the border is :p

I think the White House is in 'The Ward' and therefore Co. Dublin

I know BMC .... he wasn't getting a slagging for not knowing where the Dublin County border was either .... he was getting a slagging for being a Dublin Bus driver and thinking Maynooth was in Co. Dublin

Oh the irony of it :D ... I heard there's a big claim gone in, backdated ;)

First of I do a lot of tours so don't drive normal routes much. And second I am 99% certain that some DB routes go out to Maynooth so its a easy mistake. If it is "found out" that Maynooth is not in fact in Dublin I will have to get onto the union and see if we can put in for a lump sum payment for this scandalous anti worker practice. The joys of working for a semi state company.

So there are least 2 poker playing bus drivers in Dublin. What an honour to be associated so closely with the legend that is Player X!!!
