Online qualifiers are now on paddypowerpoker.com for the 3 places availible. There are 3 $5+$1 NLHE Re-buy games on Tuesday May 9th, 16th and 23rd. The winners prize will include the place on the team and the entry fee for the game. Note the whole of the (unusually high) reg fees on all entries and rebuys go to 1PP. All over funding of each game will be paid out as a normal online tournament.

11 Irish players vs 11 British players Heads up

This is a fundraiser for both Poker4charity (UK) and 1percentpledge (IRE)

The two playing team captains are James 'Royal Flush' Dempsey and Mike 'Shorstack' Lacey.


3 players will be able to qualify for the Irish team online and the rest will be picked by team Captain Mike 'Shorstack' Lacey.

The Fitzwilliam are holding a heavily juiced for charity MTT in the evening where all the railbords can get involved.

ICHUC (International Charity Heads Up Council) is a Partnership between Poker4Charity in the UK and OnePercentPledge in Ireland

Initial event to be a two legged affair between GB and Ireland. First leg to be held at Fitzwilliam Club, Dublin. Date July 8th 2006.

Teams consist of eleven players, comprising the following; 1 x Captain, 3 x 'named' players (selected by governing body i.e. P4C or 1PP), 4 x captain's choice, 3 x qualifiers.

At least one team member MUST be female

The challenge will consist of eleven heads-up matches, comprising the following; 8 No Limit Hold'Em, 1 Pot Limit Omaha High, 1 Pot Limit Omaha Hi/Lo, 1 Pot Limit Seven Card Stud High. The captains may select the participants for the non-Hold'Em events, the participants for the NLHE games will be determined by random draw.

The starting chips and blind levels will be decided by the appointed Tournament Director and games will be played in accordance with host rules.

The initial event will consist of a buy-in of Euro200 with the following split; Euro125 to be staked by each player on the result of their heads-up match, Euro50 to be added to the 'team pool' the sum total of which will be awarded to the winning team and Euro25 to the charity pool.

The charity pool to be split 50/50 between P4C and 1% Pledge.

A low buy-in rebuy NLHE tournament to be held in conjunction with all heads-up challenges – once again charity pool to be split 50/50

An annual 4 nations championship on similar lines to be organised for 2006
4 nations hosting to be Ireland, England, Wales & Scotland

OnePercentPledge to be sanctioning body for Ireland team, P4C to be sanctioning body for England, Wales & Scotland.

Player qualification is Nation of Birth *or *Nation of present residency.

No more secret waepons are being picked until after the qualifiers. Unless you are a world famous player I would expect anyone who wants to be picked to play at least one but preferably all of the online qualifiers.

The players I have picked I have asked to play the qualifers as well so if they win their way in I get to pick more players.
