ISLAMIC MILITANTS are turning US made video games into propaganda tools with mods that make the terrorists the heroes.
A hacked version of Battlefield 2 is being used with a mod that makes the US troops into bad guys in running gunfights against heavily armed Islamic radical heroes.
A Defense Department public diplomacy specialist, Dan Devlin told House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence that the games are played by kids who register with certain web sites.
Such sites also use pictures of US televangelists including Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell making disparaging remarks about Islam to show that their religion is being picked on by the religious right to control Middle Eastern Oil.
"Battlefield 2" shows US troops fighting forces from China or a united Middle East coalition. However in the Islamic mod, the game depicts a man in Arab headdress carrying an automatic weapon into combat with US invaders.
He says that he was "just a boy when the infidels came to my village in Blackhawk helicopters…".
EA games which makes Battlefield 2 said that it was powerless to stop software modifications, which were like painting an electronic moustache on the original.

Sounds like a piss take tbh. Especially with the team america quote... I mean, most of the maps in BF2 have the US invadeing or defending a captured asset on foreign soil. They probably just seen the insurgents from Special Forces.

Anyway, it's not like the american army have used video games to recruit and train....
