this show will have 50 tickets LESS than previous shows, so will probably sell out faster than usual. you've been warned!:) tickets on sale from mid-june from usual outlets.

Hi John,

For those of us not familiar with the rule set in Ireland, would you mind giving us a quick breakdown?

Semi Pro?
Pro?
Kick Boxing? etc

Not looking for a full rule set, just the basics (ie. no headshots etc.)

I've put the event up on the www.mmaireland.com/events/ listing for you. That events list now shows up as the first hit when searching "mma events ireland" and "mma ireland events" on google. So, it's starting to take shape.

There are three basic levels of MMA in Ireland

Amateur - the rule set featured in the MMA League, i.e. no head shots standing or on the ground

Semi Pro - Head shots allowed on the feet but no head shots on the ground. Equivalent to Class C matches in Ring of Truth

Pro - Head shots allowed standing and on the ground, two classes of this rule set available in Ring of Truth Class B 2* 5 minute rounds and Class A where there are 3 rounds.

Also I have a ten euro bet that JOB won't be at ROT 5

I haven't been able to get to a ROT myself, so I'll be at this one if I have to drag my family behind me.... Would be nice to meet some "faces".
