I have a Brother 5140 laser printer that takes TN 3030 cartridges. It's stopped printing saying it's out of ink, but the print was perfect before it stopped.

I there anyway to get a few more copies out of the cartridge???

try lighly tapping it against your hand then reinstalling it, short of replacing it don't think there is anything else left to do.

Thanks but I tried all that.... came up with a solution though cause it annoys me that laser printer manufacturers make users throw out 1/4 of each their toner cartridges because they belive it to be empty.....
Their is a sensor on both side of your printer... on the cartridge there is a hole each side (you can see glass or perspex), whic triggers your printer to tell you the toner is empty. Take two bit of tissue, roll up and stick in the holes... your cartridge will now give you lots more copies... I've already got 100+ more out of mine.
