I'm gonna move this one to the emulators forum (even though it's a sub-forum of the consoles forum...weird) as I think you'll get a better answer there.

What version of WinUAE are you using?

Sorry - little late here :) But did you resolve this problem yet? There are a nomber of options for controlling the speed of UAE, but the best for you if you're running very old games like that is to set the CPU speed to "match A500 speed" or whatever the option is. For compatability, don't add any memory that the A500 didn't have, some old games don't like it, and set up your mouse and joystick emulation as you need to. Also, later versions of UAE have the option to speed up access to virtual floppies - this shouldn't be used with some older games as they rely on the timing to load their custom format disks.

hannable80 - just to add - Winuae can be slow on anything less than a P4. As mentioned set up as a basic A500 (68000) with 1Mb ram with Kickstart 1.3. I found AGA games slow.

Also try this tweak guide - page 3 onwards is what you want. http://www.tweakguides.com/Amiga_3.html
