Free Camera

Hi I've a Halina 35X to give away. It takes 35mm film and afaik is in working order as I've never tried it. Its just taking up room so anyone who wants it can have it.

The lens appears to be ok but the leather facade of the camera has been stripped away and its also missing its badge.

First person gets it.

Didnt you see his location, if you want to go run him over to get the camera go find him in Dublin cant be that hard.

Its from around 1960 and afaik its real leather what remains of it anyway. Its a heavy sturdy camera "Empire Made". Apparently Ansel Adams used one of these cameras in his early years. As to being in a museum its not rare, there are plenty to be had on eBay and anyway as someone recently said "there is nothing sadder than a camera without a photographer".

Shrimp is welcome to it. Just hope he uploads some shots from it to see what the quality is like.

Its just a shame no one will get to see them, as most people have blocked his posts because he acts like a tool.

Only my opinion but maybe somone should get the camera that actually positively contributes to the Photography forum..
I'm on a beginner and some of the threads have been excellent for learning.
However, its seems Shrimp is nothing but a negative influence.
Just my two cents and I know it'll agitate some ppl..

I was taking a dig around in my "cupboard of mystery" at home and actually found one of these funnily enough. Looks pretty intact and functional, I'll have to get some film for it and take a few shots. Pretty strange coincidence...
