    Hi all

I was wondering, I have a Fishman Natural I in my guitar. Now, this has a pre-amp built into the endpin, but when I plug it into my PA, I'm not getting a good boomy sound, its quite flat really! Do I need EQ to drive it a bit more???? I want to get reverb, chorus and whatever other effects also, but I am assuming I have to get the best possible natural sound first of all!!

And yes, I am completely thick when it comes to guitar-tech-speak..... so please please when (and if) you reply, take pity on me and speak in layman, idiot-proof language!!!!!! Much appreciated!! Tanx!!!

Is this on the McIlroy? Can you A-B test it with another guitar and see how they compare with the EQ flat. If it is the McIlroy and it sounds a bit duller than an inferior guitar get on the phone ASAP. Also, don't be scared to use the EQ to boost the frequencies you want, that's what it's there for.

Hi Dr J, yeah on the McIlroy!!!
The thing is, when I run it straight into my own Carlsbro Sherwood Signature 65 amp, the sound is amazing! So I don't think its that. I'm running it into the Bose PAS. My playing partner has a Taylor 614, and he ran his into the same thing and he said (I haven';t heard it yet) his Taylor sounds class!!
The Fishman Natural I doesn't have an EQ Dr. Thats why I was wondering is there something I can get for EQ? Thanks for the response by the way.....!!:)

which input on the bose are you using and is Phantom power off if its one of those inputs ?

Phantom power only travels through XLR balanced inputs, it wont damage a dynamic mic when +48v is turned on btw. You shouldnt run it through a mic channel anyway, get a decent DI box and go straight into a line channel

Thanks lads. To be honest, I think a DI is the way to go. I ran it through my amp again last nigth into the bose, and turned down the trim, using the remore to turn up volume. Seemed a nicer tone alright, but lacking a little something.

    That Boss AD-5 looks good!

    Thanks all
