Question about the Zalman 5.1's

    My medusa 5.1 headset is dying from the abuse that my son and his cousin (and myself of course ;)) have given them, so I've decided to plump for another 5.1 headset.

    The Zalman 5.1's have decent reviews and are a fair chunk cheaper, but I'm a bit concerned about the "built in microphone" as I do use the mic a lot (for teamspeak / skype).

    Anyone who have these care to comment on the microphone?

    Stick with the medusas tbh. www.overclockers.co.uk have them for just over £30.00 on offer at the mo.

    I love the Medusa. Wouldn't change now myself.

    They're great for music too :p

    I'm a little wary of going with the standard medusa's. I've suffered the "buzzing bass" problem after a few months myself...and it's been reported by a few others on the interweb. I'd consider the Pro version (as it looks like a complete redesign) but they're nearly 100 euro if I include delivery. That's really pushing it. The Zalmans come out closer to 60 euro including delivery, which is a lot more reasonable.
