I have a Linksys Wireless G Router Model No. WAG354G. I seem to have lost the installation CD. Can I download the setup.exe file anywhere on the internet?

Course ya can. Try the linksys website, but you shouldnt need drivers for a router.

Generally "Setup" CDs for routers are just Wizards to help you set them up. You don't usually need them.

Go to Start, then Run..., type in "CMD", hit OK, and in the balck screen, type "ipconfig" and hit return.

Make a note of the "Default Gateway" and then open your browser and type that address into the address bar. You should then see your setup page (although you're usually prompted for a username and password first).

That's the thing. I'm no expert on computers and the CD was very useful in setting up. Now it doesn't seem to be working (the internet light won't light up). We had a powercut earlier so I'm thinking it lost all the settings and has to be reset???

    Probably the cause alright.

You can download the User Guide and quick install from here:

It's possible that the powercut could have fried the device, but it's unlikely. Chances are, as you suggest, that it has lost the DSL settings so can't connect. Before you do anything though, reboot it (Plug out/Plug in) :)

    I think it's:

    Encapsulation - PPPoE
    Multiplex - LLC
    VPI - 8
    VCI - 35

    Hope that helps!
