anyone have any news on Green Carnation playin here? according to their site - www.green-carnation.tk - they're scheduled to play TBMC on August 26th, but i cant find info on it anywhere else.

anyone able to confirm that they're playing?

They're definitely playing. They were originally due to be playing the 1st week in September, but the date was changed cos it'll clash with another metal event yet to be announced..

Heard the 26th being mentioned on Metal Ireland, think Primed are organising it, but Dublin Metal Events might be promoting it! Either way, they're definitely coming, really looking forward to it, they're amazing live every time they play!

    Hey all,

Just had confirmation of the date of this gig.. I was on to Kjetil on their forum & he's confirmed that it is indeed the 26th of August.

Going to be in the Temple Bar Music Centre & Primed will be releasing their album at it (produced by himself and Stein Roger)

Really looking forward to this, great live band!

Just a reminder to all about this gig - the venue has changed to Whelans, doors at 7pm. Tickets are on sale from today and as far as I know will be available on the door too - €15..

Really can't wait - anyone that hasn't heard either band before will not be disappointed.. Both are great live bands!

yeh il be there, cant wait to see green carnation, though i would have loved to see in the woods, pity they split ages ago.
will tickets defo be available at the door??

if not where can they be bought?? the usual.. sound cellar and the likes??

Not sure tbh. They're definitely in Sound Cellar at the mo - just rang to confirm. I'd imagine they'll be on the door, unless it sells out, which I can't imagine it will due to the large amounts of gigs coming up.

They are available in the Whelans Ticket shop too, so maybe you could ring them to confirm..

Not long to go now - really looking forward to Saturday!

i was very impressed with this gig, green carnation were really good, no encore though :(

1st time seeing primed too and they were pretty good

Yeah thought it was a great gig.. Woulda loved an encore, but I think as it was a Primed album launch, they kinda kept it a bit low key!

i thought Primed were excellent, as were Green Carnation. the theremin and the jams were fantasmical.
