A friend of mine recently got a new job.

When he left his previous job they asked for his uniform back. (boots, pants, shirts, jumpers and a jacket). He said no problem washed it all and brought it straight into them.

This week he got his final paycheck and they deducted €200 for the uniform. Can he demand either the uniform or the money back back?:confused::confused:

Probably a clerical/administrative error. Did he bring it to their attention? Was their anything about it in his employment contract?

No there is no mention of the uniform in his contract. Which is there more chance of him getting back the uniform or the money?

Can he bring them to the small claims court if they refuse to give either back?

best to give hr a call first , might just be a mistake... explain he left the uniform, that he gave it to person x in x deparment on xx/xx/xxxx and ask to have the money refunded...
