Anyone know where I would be able to buy a nice, finished large sheet of solid wood (oak, maple, beech) in Dublin (City).
    I need a couple of sheets measuring 5' x 4' and around 1/2" thick.

I'd like to buy this today if possible.. :)

Thanks, but it looks like they're not open today :(
I'll ring them during the week though, if I haven't found anything by then.

Anyone else got any ideas? I'd like a choice of places to buy from, if possible :)

I doubt if you'll be able to source a large sheet of SOLID wood anywhere (5' wide?), but any decent builder's suppliers (Chadwicks, Brooks, Buckleys, etc.) should be able to supply 8' x 4' sheets of veneered (oak, maple, etc.) MDF, which you can cut to size and then edge with solid timber.

Seems no solid wood sheets to be found in Dublin :(

It'll have to be MDF so :(

Homebase (on Naas Rd) have solid wooden panels, not sure if they've got as big as 5 x 4, definitely 4 x 3. They looked like pine
