I have one too.. Nice bike and despite many trips to the breakers to get parts to fix it up I've never been out of pocket much. Heavy winds can make driving on the motorway feel like you are going a few rounds with a boxer though.

    Hiya Tree,
Have a look at this Kawasaki D-Tracker SUPER MOTO 250 over at motomax.ie website...

or the Honda CL 400 retro scrambler is probably what you're after.

Its taking it up to a 500cc, but I've had a KLE500 for nearly two years now, great bike done over 50,000 km no problems from it at all.

I've been driving Kawkers for about 5 years now and never had a problem with them. All them are easy to service, very reliable and start the first time around.

Old Suzuki's are great aswell, anything pre-91, especially the old GS models.

i've driven my mates bros a few time and would much prefer my hornet.
the're both bullet proof but i never liked the look of the bros it's a real narrow/plain looking bike.

and i'd say the 250 is just as quick as a bros

Tree, there were 2 silver Honda CL 400's on bikebuyersguide.ie about a month ago, one for €4,000 and the other for €3,500 out of bike shops in Dublin. I think they were '00 models. Motomax had one (I think) and maybe JP Motor's on Pearse street the other. www.bikebuyersguide.ie is where I came across this nice looking retro first!!

Never heard of a vanvan in a 250 flavour being made but hey what do I know!?

they made the vanvan in a range of sizes from fifty to two fifty but ive only come across the 125 in cork so far.

Can I ask if €3.5k seems a bit steep for that Kawasaki D-Tracker above? I checked it out today and it's in great nick. Looks the part, 10k on the clock, though it does seem a bit pricey.

Leef23, mind giving me heads up on that Hornet when you come to sell it? Exactly what I'm looking for (I think...). Am I right in thinking it's learner-legal? (or have you tuned it beyond that?)
