We'r going to book a trip to Salou for 4 days from August 9th to 13th. I know there is a lot of complaints about Salou but has anyone stayed anywhere nice in Salou. I just want a pretty good hotel for the 4 days for up to 12 mid 20's group of lads and girls.
    Advice Please.

Was there last week for 3 nights but we stayed in the Port Aventura Hotel which included tickets into the Port Aventura Park (Universal Studios Park), Salou is only 10 mins in taxi from Hotel. Personally I thought Salou was horrible, we ate there one evening, in a restaurant along the seafront, yuckkkkk, food was horrible. Hotel was lovely and very reasonably priced, lovely big buffet brekky in the morning too. Want to know anymore, ask!

    Humm sound Adele,
Yup pretty sure it is a **** hole. Thats why I'm booking Villa's in the Gotic Quarter in Barcelona City for 4 days before. Get the culture etc. We'r just going to Salou for the Sun, Sand.. you know the rest.
Was your hotel actually called the Port Aventura Hotel? did you cum onto anything else nice?

Sorry basically stayed in the park and around the hotel as we were only there for three nights. If you want more info on the hotel go to www.portaventura.com :D

i lived in salou the whole of last summer and it really isnt as bad as everyone is making out. a good hotel is hotel las vegas and it fairly cheap and central. you can get the train straight to salou from barcelona and its really cheap and comfortable. port aventura is really good and theres also a huge water park close by in la pineda. salou is ideal for sun and sand the beach is immaculate. there are plenty of nice eating places jus avoid the main strip and venture a bit further. if your not into typical eng/irish bars try checkin out the spanish ones they're all nicely done out and theres never any trouble. let me kno if theres anytthin else you would like to know.
